Surprise Surprise is hosted by Holly Willoughby, who will award the country’s most extraordinary people with spectacular surprises.
The series will feature a number of emotional surprises and dramatic family reunions, as Holly celebrates those who do so much for others and expect nothing in return.
In the first episode of the new series, nine-year-old Domenic from Cornwall will meet the man who saved his life. Domenic was diagnosed with leukemia and desperately needed a bone marrow transplant to survive. Neil Lovell, 37 from Northampton was a perfect match and donated his bone marrow without knowing anything about the recipient.
Domenic and his parents Mike and Amy Doyle have been waiting for more than two years to meet the anonymous man who saved their son’s life. Gary Bennett, 56 from Solihull has gone through a lot over the years. In a tragic road accident in America he lost his wife Sue, and son Ryan, and his nieces lost their mother, Kay. Tragically, ten years later Gary’s brother Glen also passed away from a heart attack, leaving behind two girls Lydia and Ellie.
Gary has two children of his own, Sarah and Leah, and held the family together through these terrible times, raising the four girls single-handedly. Tonight the girls want to say a massive thank you to Gary for looking after them all these years.
Other surprises include; a lady who set up a local social club for widowed men and women receives a special thank you, a teaching assistant who runs a children’s cheerleading group for children with learning difficulties gets a nice surprise, a Granddaughter nominates her Grandmother for all the money she has raised for their local charities, and a man who has dedicated the last 44 years of his life to hospital radio receives the recognition he deserves.

The duo will join current hosts Phillip Schofield, Holly Willoughby, Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford for a live two-hour special at Albert Dock in Liverpool on Thursday, October 3.

“Our whole family of talent are really excited about this special anniversary show – there’ll be plenty of surprises and memories shared – and it’s going to be extra special returning to where it all started,” said This Morning editor Adam Vandermark.

This Morning‘s floating weather map will be brought back for the occasion, with Keith Lemon as weather presenter, and the programme’s Hub team will present their section of the show live from a yellow submarine boat. The morning magazine show will also launch a fundraising campaign called ‘Take a Moment’ next Monday (September 9). The initiative encourages viewers to give something back to their local communities, and the government will donate £5 for the first 50,000 ‘acts of kindness’ submitted by members of the public. The grand total will be revealed during the anniversary show, with proceeds going to ITV’s Text Santa charities.

And when it comes to mums who successfully ride the balance between career and motherhood, Fearne looks to her BFF Holly for inspiration.

Holly still likes to have fun and do her thing while being a mum. It’s important to still be you.

‘She makes me feel not too guilty about working. Being a mum makes you look at your whole life differently. Time with your partner is more precious and time on your own is more precious.’

Gorgeous new outtakes of Holly have been added to the gallery!

Holly Willoughby is set to make a guest appearance in Made In Chelsea.   The Celebrity Juice star could be appearing alongside her pal and MIC star Francis Boulle in the next series.

When asked if his friend would be gracing our screens on the reality show, Francis told Star magazine: “Actually, yeah!”
Adding: “We spoke about it – she was interested and the producers are, so we’ll see.”
And Jamie Laing’s ‘boi’ explained: “She’d be there as my mate. We’d hang out; shoot the breeze.”   Well it would certainly be good for ratings.

Holly Willoughby has quite an assortment of things in her handbag. Apart from lipstick and all the usual girlie items, the This Morning presenter never leaves the house without a couple of toy trains.

‘Two Thomas The Tank Engines [are in my handbag],’ says Holly, 32.

‘They’re there to keep [my kids] Harry and Belle entertained in emergencies.

‘I also have my purse, my phone, loads of make-up and loads of unidentifiable objects floating at the bottom!’

Holly, who’s married to TV producer Dan Baldwin, is clearly a doting mum to Harry, 4, and Belle, 2.
